Role Summary: The Yoga/Pilates Instructor is a fulfilling role that will create a positive and supportive community at Jack & Stella by empowering people on their wellness journey. In this role, the Recreation Instructor will lead weekly Yoga & Pilates classes!

About Wellness Program: We have always had a passion for Wellness here at Jack & Stella. Last summer we ran a successful yoga + Pilates program with numerous special wellness and community building events. This year, we are excited to continue this!

Responsibilities:

Yoga & Pilates Classes

• Lead 1 daily fitness classes from 9:00AM-10:00AM.
• Organize class schedule and sign ups.
• Guide students through various exercises and techniques to improve their physical and mental well-being.
• Set up/ clean up area.
• Ensure Wellness products are fully stocked.
• Work with Sydney on social marketing.
• Take initiative to learn names, build relationships with our guests.

Requirements:

• Yoga or Pilates certification or equivalent experience required
• Experience in recreational work considered an asset
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Must be able to adhere to all Jack & Stella operating policies and programs
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Flexible and willing to perform many different tasks
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time and lift or move objects up to 25lbs

Schedule:

Days: 5-6 days/week.

Hours: 12 hours/week max

Shift: 8:45AM-10:15AM

$30-$45/ per class

Work done to set up and clean up the class is unpaid.

Contract:

May/ June start- September 1 end.

Depending on your position, your start day will range from May 16th to no later than June 25th.

We ask that all Jack & Stella crew do their best to commit to staying for Labour Day weekend.

Jack & Stella also stays open until the Cranberry Festival in Bala (weekend after Thanksgiving) with modified hours. In your application, please note if you are able to work additional hours in the fall.
