Role Summary: The Kitchen Support is the backbone the kitchen programs that Jack & Stella offers. Within this flexible role, you will be responsible for supporting the day time Cafe kitchen and night time Lounge kitchen/ serving staff. During the night time, you will ensure that clean tableware is always stocked for the kitchen and clean drink ware is stocked for the bar staff. You will support the kitchen staff in making sure the kitchen is kept clean and maintained throughout the shift. During the day time, you will receive, restock and rotate new food inventory when received, and support the day kitchen staff. This role is essential to optimize the working flow and operations of the restaurant. You will relay stock levels to the kitchen staff and notify them, especially when stock levels are low. This role includes the maintenance of garbage, general outside cleanliness and potential support given to the kitchen cooking staff and running/ bussing tables. You will collaborate with the kitchen teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Stand or walk for extended periods of time and lift or move objects up to 25lbs.

Schedule:

Days: 3-4 days per week

Hours: Up to 25 hours

Shifts: 10:00am-2:00pm, 6:00- 10:00**

Compensation:

$16.20 - $17.20/hour + a percentage of tips based on overall daily sales from each shift.

Contract:

May/ June start- September 1 end.

Depending on your position, your start day will range from May 16th to no later than June 25th.

We ask that all Jack & Stella crew do their best to commit to staying for Labour Day weekend.

Jack & Stella also stays open until the Cranberry Festival in Bala (weekend after Thanksgiving) with modified hours. In your application, please note if you are able to work additional hours in the fall.
