Part Time - Stella's Closet: Everyday Living Consultant

Role Summary: Stella’s Closet is our amazing women's clothing and accessories store at Jack & Stella. The Everyday Living Consultant is responsible for having a thorough knowledge of our brands, discussing clothing options with customers, managing the change rooms and handling all payment transactions. You will also be involved in merchandising, inventory management and coming up with new ways that we can showcase our amazing brands, which includes working with Sydney are Social Media Manager to keep "the closet" instagram updated and fresh everyday. Creating and posting outfit ideas and inspiration, as well as promo for new items and collections coming in to generate excitement and sales for our customers is vital in this role as a living consultant. In addition, helping and supporting the team with the annual Fashion Show is a part of this role that is both fun and rewarding!! In this position, creating a warm and inviting place for our customers is always a priority.

Responsibilities:

• Greet every customer that comes into the store!
• Interact and understand the customer's needs – help find proper sizes, give outfit suggestions etc.
• Demonstrate how to wear and style clothing.
• Have thorough knowledge of the brands we carry, inventory we have/ may be getting.
• Handle all payment transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Take initiative to drive sales by posting on socials!!
• During downtime: style mannequins, update inventory, fold and steam clothing as needed, post on store Instagram
• Gift-wrap all purchases
• Perform opening and closing procedures – cleaning, dusting, keeping everything looking neat and tidy

Requirements:

• Previous retail experience considered an asset
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Must possess excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to adhere to all Jack & Stella operating policies and programs
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Flexible and willing to perform many different tasks
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time and lift or move objects up to 25lbs

Schedule:

Days: 4-5 days per week** 

Hours: Up to 25 hours 

Shifts: between 9:00am-5:00pm

Compensation:

$17.60/hour + a percentage of tips based on overall daily sales from each shift.

Contract:

Mid June start- September 7th end.

NOTE: We require that all Crew members give us their utmost commitment to staying for Labour Day weekend.

Jack & Stella stays open until the Cranberry Festival (mid-October) with modified hours. In your application, you can note if you are able to work additional hours into the fall.
